Calmer Therapy was founded in June 2015 by Donna Swan, a mother of 3 children.  Donna worked in the health and social care sector and also has 2 children with additional needs, so she saw first hand how little support there was out there for children with additional needs and disabilities, and their families.  Due to constant cuts to children's mental health service and growing numbers of families in Northumberland desperate for support, Calmer Therapy was born.

Since then, Calmer Therapy has consistently grown, all thanks to the helping hands of the amazing community.  It was started as a small parent support group, but quickly grew and now there are 2 centres, with over 3000 members.

Our centres are located in Stobhill, Morpeth and Berwick.

Calmer Therapy covers all of the North East and Scottish Borders.
